6KGOLD FIFA 18 TEAM OF THE WEEK 13 PREDICTIONS

GOALKEEPER

Bernd Leno - GK - OVR 85 There were a few big-name goalkeeping options to choose from this week but with the Bundesliga offering very little alongside the fact that they have been in favour in recent weeks leads me to select Leno. The German made a total of five saves in Leverkusen's 2-0 win over Stuttgart, picking up a 1.5 from Kicker.

DEFENDERS

Jordi Alba - LB - OVR 85 We saw no less than three defenders make the cut without an attacking contribution last week. That combined with the fact there is a real lack of big name options makes Alba an attractive option to me. The defender picked up MOTM with three stars from MARCA after his defensive display in Barcelona's 2-0 win.
Nicolas Otamendi - CB - OVR 83 City continue to show their dominance in the Premier League and now sit a huge 11 points clear at the top after their 2-1 win over Manchester United. It was a tight affair but once again it was Otamendi who found himself on the scoresheet, netting the eventual winner to take his tally to four for the season.
Nacho Fernandez - CB - OVR 81 There is a chance for Ronaldo to feature in this week’s side but with his recent TOTGS item and the fact that two goals, one of which was a penalty really isn't that impressive for him. Nacho Fernandez is also a very strong contender and is who I am opting for. The Spaniard scored one of five Madrid goals in their very convincing 5-0 win over Sevilla and alongside Ronaldo was the only Madrid player to receive the maximum rating from MARCA.

MIDFIELDERS

Quincy Promes - LM - OVR 82 Spartak may well have lost 7-0 to Liverpool mid-week but it seems to have had no effect on their domestic performance. The Russian side bounced back with a 3-0 win over rivals CSKA to make it five consecutive league wins. Promes scored the first and second of those goals, claiming his spot in this side.
Giacomo Bonaventura - CM - OVR 83 Bonaventura was in line for an IF last week until the heroics of Brignoli. The Italian managed to put in another shift on Sunday of which he scored both Milan goals in a 2-1 win over Bologna. An IF that I will be looking to pick up.
Angel Di Maria - RW - OVR 85 Although Di Maria didn't make L'Equipe's final cut for TOTW, the fact that he is one of only a couple of big names in contention for this week’s side makes him that much more attractive. The Argentine grabbed both a goal and assist in PSG's 3-1 win over Lille.
Heung Min Son - LM - OVR 82 With a lack of both big names and midfield options Son fits the bill for both, at a push. Spurs produced a convincing display with a 5-1 win of which both Kane and Son impressed within. I believe the IF will go to Son who scored one and assisted another from a wide midfield position with Kane currently being in the TOTGS side.

FORWARDS

Jozy Altidore - ST - OVR 76 Historically, we have seen the MOTM in the MLS final pick up a special item and should that trend continue, we will be seeing an Altidore on Wednesday. The American scored the opener in Toronto's 2-0 win over Seattle
Vincent Aboubaka - ST - OVR 78 Porto are still unbeaten after 14 games, recording their 11th win via a 5-0 away win over Setubal. Aboubakar was involved in four of those goals, scoring three himself alongside assisting another.
Jermain Defoe - ST - OVR 80 We saw an additional two PTG items receive an upgrade last week and it looks as though another is on the way. This time it comes in the PL with Defoe after the striker was given a chance ahead of Wilson. He repaid them with a brace, which saw them pick up a point in a 2-2 draw with Palace.

SUBSTITUTES

Stefano Sorrentino - GK - OVR 79 Sorrentino has been on the verge of an IF several times in recent weeks, but this has without a doubt been his strongest shout and if he doesn't make the eventual cut I would be very surprised. The veteran stopper made a total of eight saves denying Roma the three points by keeping the clean sheet. Gazzetta awarded him with an 8/10 for doing so which almost certainly will result in his IF.
Arthur Masuaku - LWB - OVR 75 West Ham pulled off the shock win of the weekend, managing to beat Chelsea 1-0 at home. Arnautović was the man with the goal, however I am going with one of the defenders in Masuaku who made a total of five tackles and was a constant threat down the left flank, managing a total of eleven take ons.
Jimmy Briand - LM - OVR 78 Guingamp made it back to back wins with a 4-0 win over Dijon on Saturday which after a run of seven games without a win is exactly what they needed. Briand picked up both a goal and an assist, which saw him pick up MOTM with an 8/10.
Younes Belhanda - CAM - OVR 81 Galatasaray had a difficult day at the office, finding themselves two down at half time when they hosted Akhisarspor. An inspired second half saw the Turkish side run away with a 4-2 win and more importantly all three points. There are a couple of candidates from the game but with Belhanda picking up MOTM for his goal and assist it makes sense to go with him.
Nils Petersen - ST - OVR 76 There have been some huge comebacks in recent weeks in Germany and Freiburg have now joined that list. Away from home, they found themselves 3-0 down at half time but miraculously went on to win the match, 4-3. Petersen scored three of those goals and although two came from the spot in both the 90th and 95th minutes the German picked up POTW which alongside his hat trick makes him a shoe in for this side.
Steve Mounie - ST - OVR 76 When two newly promoted sides face off, it is often vital to pick up three points, and although both Huddersfield and Brighton sit in midtable, come the end of the season, this could prove to be a huge three points. It was Huddersfield who managed to claim the points, courtesy of two quick Mounie goals. With the lack of PL options, Mounie stands a real chance coming into week 13.
Valere Germain - ST - OVR 80 Marseille continued their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions with a convincing 3-0 win over St. Etienne. Germain was the stand out player in the match, scoring two of the three goals, both of which were assisted by Thauvin. It was Germain who ended up picking up MOTM though, and thus it suggests he will be the man picking up the IF.

RESERVES

Christian Schoissengeyr - CB - OVR 64 Although both Schoissengeyr and Graz conceded twice, which is not ideal for a defender, it was the CB's offensive contribution which stood out. The Austrian scored two of three Graz goals in their narrow 3-2 win which allowed them to go two points clear at the top.
Frenkie De Jong - CB - OVR 72 Ajax produced a convincing 3-0 win at home to PSV from which three players picked up an 8/10 which was the joint highest rating of the week. De Jong was the official MOTM though, after his assist and clean sheet from defense, and for that reason I am going down that route.
Houssem Aouar - CDM - OVR 67 Lyon managed to scrape a 2-1 win away to Amiens, with the home side missing a penalty in the 89th minute before Lyon went on to score the winner themselves in the 94th. It was their young talent, Aouar who scored both the goals which in turn saw him pick up the joint highest rating from L'Equipe with an 8/10.
Abdenasser El Khayati - CM - OVR 66 While the top players of the week all came from Ajax in terms of match rating, El Khayati arguably put in the best performance. The midfielder was crucial for Den Haag in their 3-2 win, scoring twice and assisting another.
Kemar Roofe - ST - OVR 70 We end the prediction with an easy selection in Roofe after he scored all three Leeds goals in a 3-1 win over QPR from the more advanced role of ST.

MMOBEYS FIFA 18 TEAM OF THE WEEK 15 PREDICTIONS

GOALKEEPER

Wojciech Szczesny - GK - OVR 82 This one could easily go in favour of Benatia who scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 Juventus win against Roma. That being said it was Szczesny who picked up MOTM despite only making two saves. He was there when needed though and you can't really argue against an official MOTM award.

DEFENDERS

Inigo Martinez - LB - OVR 82 Despite failing to keep a clean sheet, Martinez was highly influential in Sociedad picking up three points over Sevilla. He was a constant threat down to left hand side and produced both a goal and an assist because of it. Shame that he won't be a CB though as it kind of ruins his FUT item.
Phil Jagielka - CB - OVR 80 Everton have picked up some form after what has been a disappointing start to the season for them. They managed to hold Chelsea to a 0-0 draw during the first set of fixtures, but had it not have been for Jags it would have been a completely different story. The Englishman made two goal line clearances and was dominant at the back to pick up MOTM.
Medhi Benatia - CB - OVR 84 Despite already having Szczesny included in my prediction I am going to include another Juventus player from their 1-0 win. As already mentioned Benatia scored the solitary goal of the match and although he didn't pick up MOTM he did receive a respectable match rating. That linked with the fact that defensive options were limited makes it a possibility to see two Juventus IF's on Wednesday.

MIDFIELDERS

Kylian Mbappe - RW - OVR 83 Potentially a little cheap with just a goal and an assist but Mbappe is well and truly in line for an 87-rated card after his performance was deemed worthy of player of the week in France. PSG went on to win the game 3-1 with Caen going home empty handed.
Dele Alli - CM - OVR 84 All the talk is around Kane now but Alli is another player who deserves all the praise he gets. This one comes from the Tuesday fixture against Southampton of which Spurs ran away as 5-2 winners. Alli picked up a goal and assist in that match and although Kane was MOTM, Alli was also instrumental.
Allan - CM - OVR 80 Napoli played out a difficult game against Sampdoria of which they managed a narrow 3-2 win from. Several players are in contention, with Hamsik breaking the Napoli goal scoring record and Mertens managing two assists but I am opting for Allan after he picked up a huge 8/10 from Gazzetta.
Juan Mata - RM - OVR 84 Despite United failing to close out the game against a 10 men Leicester side they do look set to pick up an IF after their Spanish magician, Mata scored both of their goals, one of which was a superbly taken freekick. He went on to claim MOTM which should be enough for him to sneak in.

FORWARDS

Sergio Aguero - ST - OVR 89 I get that Pep has an amazing squad which does justify rotation but to give Aguero as little game time as he has this season really does baffle me. When the Argentine is on form there really is no stopping him. We saw that in his match against Bournemouth, where he scored twice and assisted another in a 4-0 win.
Harry Kane - ST - OVR 86 Talking of world class strikers, we now move onto Kane. How long will it be before we are comparing him against Lewandowski and Suarez as surely, we can't be far off. The Spurs talisman equaled Alan Shearer's record for most calendar goals with three against Burnley in a 3-0 win. Kane then went on to break the record in style during Tottenham's second game of the week, scoring yet another three goals. RB on the way?
Lionel Messi - CF - OVR 93 As far as Messi IF's go this one could be his easiest, with just a penalty goal and an assist to his name. It did come in the El Clásico and as a result he broke five records. Unlike Kane these are not specific league records and thus he does not warrant a RB item, but we could easily see him pick up a SIF instead.

SUBSTITUTES

Andrea Consigli - GK - OVR 82 Usually I wouldn't go for two keepers from the same division but considering we saw it a few weeks back and that two good options are present I am willing to take the punt. Consigli saved a penalty and made a total of three other saves as Sassuolo shocked Inter with a 1-0 win.
Nathan Ake - CB - OVR 75 In what was a dramatic end to the match, with three goals in the final ten minutes of the game, Bournemouth v West Ham ended level with three goals apiece. Ake was involved in two of the home sides goals, both scoring one and assisting another. He picked up MOTM by doing so and although Arnautovic was heavily involved for West Ham with multiple PL strikers already included I think he will miss out in favour of Ake.
Takashi Inui - LM - OVR 78 Eibar pulled off a convincing 4-1 home win over Girona from which both Angel and Inui stood out from. With Inui being a gold and picking up MOTM from Marca I shall be opting for his two goals over Angel's two assists from LB.
Mossoro - CAM - OVR 76 With the Turkish league being another of the leagues in action I can easily see them being represented once again. The only real option from the matches is Mossoro, who picked up both a goal and an assist in a narrow 2-1 away win.
Karl Toko Ekambi - ST - OVR 76 Angers picked up three points via a narrow 2-1 home win over Dijon, Ekambi scored both home sides goals and in turn was awarded with an 8/10 from L'Equipe.
Roberto Firmino - ST - OVR 83 After two MOTM performances from Firmino, the first for a goal and assist in their 3-3 draw with Arsenal and the second coming for a brace in a 4-0 win over Swansea, the Brazilian looks set to pick up an IF for his efforts. There are a multitude of PL options though which does factor against him.
Mattia Destro - ST - OVR 76 With limited leagues playing two goals was always likely to be enough and that looks to be the case for Destro after his brace helped Bologna to a 3-2 away win. He was awarded with MOTM and a 7.5 from Gazzetta.

RESERVES

Antonin Barak - CM - OVR 72 Barak was awarded player of the week in Calcio A for his brace in Udinese's 4-0 win over Verona. The fact he is silver may go against him but in the circumstances, he could and should sneak in.
Lennart Thy - ST - OVR 69 The first of several non-gold strikers I have selected this week is Thy. The Venlo striker scored all three of their goals in a 3-1 home win. With so many silver strikers scoring three it could come down to a lottery or we could see a reserves section full of strikers, only time will tell.
Will Grigg - ST - OVR 69 Will Griggs on fire? Well he ended his goal drought this week in style scoring three of his own and adding an assist for good measure during a 7-0 romp for Wigan away at Oxford.
Bobo - ST - OVR 74 It would have been handy for Bobo to still be a gold item in FIFA, allowing other options for the reserves, regardless of that he will surely feature on Wednesday after scoring three goals on Saturday in Sydney's 4-1 win.
Sergi Guardiola - ST - OVR 66 Cordoba ran away as 5-0 winners on Wednesday and from that game there are two obvious candidates and although both probably deserve to make the cut, as we have seen with the lower sides time and time again realistically we are only going to see one. That player will be Guardiola after he scored three of those five goals.
